Fort Collins Mayor of Old Town Bar, Business for Sale

The owners of The Mayor of Old Town are putting the building and business up for sale.

Kevin and Barb Bolin have decided to put their business and adjoining property at 632 S Mason St. up for sale after a 10-year-run. In a post on Instagram, Kevin Bolin said when they bought and opened the bar, the plan was to only run it for 10 years.

He went on to say that it's time for him and his wife to "look to the horizon and make plans to achieve our (new) plan."

Kevin Bolin also said that because they own the business and the building, it gives them more options and flexibility for the sale:

Barb and I are in a unique situation in that we own the building and the business. This is an opportunity for someone…maybe someone you know. We can sell the building, we can sell the business, we can sell both together. We can sell the building without the business and continue to run the business as a paying tenant.

First and foremost, let me convey to you that we (The staff, Barb and I) miss you all very much and we hope for your continued safety during these weird times. If you know anything about us, Barb and I tend to segment our lives into 10 year “Chapters”. From the beginning, Barb and I had wanted to own the Mayor for 10 years and then hopefully pass it on to new owners who could run with it thereafter. The name of our holding company is literally NTYP or “Next Ten Year Plan”. As we approach the beginning of our 10th year of operation, we have to look to the horizon and make plans to achieve our plan.
