Yesterday I had the chance to be a kid again. I had the chance to visit The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery before it even opens...or maybe I should say I got the chance to play at the museum. What a blast for kids and adults.

The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery is celebrating its grand opening on Saturday (November 10th). There is a special ceremony at 9:30 a.m. with Fort Collins Mayor and other dignitaries. The Museum will open at 10 a.m.

The museum features six exhibit zones which include: The Music & Sound Lab (My personal favorite), Wildlands & Wildlife; People on the Move; First Peoples; Food, Forage and Farm; and the Schatz Family Exploration Zone.

A couple other highlights are the OtterBox Digital Dome Theater and the Funky Forest and the resident black-footed ferrets.

The Museum of Discovery is at College and Cherry just north of Old Town Fort Collins. It will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission prices are $9.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors, $7.00 for students (with valid ID), $6 for children ages 3 – 12. Children 2 & under are Free. Memberships are available.

I took along my wife's camera so I could show you some of my favorite things at the museum.
