Authorities found a deceased person and dog while responding to a Fort Collins structure fire on Tuesday,

Emergency authorities responded to the scene of the fire on North College Avenue just after 10 p.m., according to a press release. The fire was extinguished by 10:18 p.m.

Poudre Fire Authority and Fort Collins Police are still investigating the cause of the fire. PFA remained on the scene long after extinguishing the fire as part of the investigation.

The identity of the deceased and the manner of death will be released later after an autopsy is performed by the Larimer County Coroner's Office.
