Fort Collins Street Sweepers are Getting Smarter

Starting this month, the City of Fort Collins is partnering with Rubicon Global to keep the streets clean. This is a six month pilot program that is testing out new smart technology.

Rubicon has developed the technology that will help street sweepers manage routes, dispatch to impacted areas and allow drivers to report a problem themselves.

“The City of Fort Collins is always looking to take advantage of technology and data to help improve efficiency, maintenance and make for a better community for our citizens,” said Larry Schneider, City of Fort Collins Director of Transportation in a press release. “We think this specific smart city solution from Rubicon Global could be a game changer for our fleet of street sweeping vehicles."
