With the Colorado Avalanche having had such a great season, it's great knowing that their 'farm team', the Colorado Eagles, will see a full house.

The last time that the Colorado Eagles played in front of fans was March 11, 2020. After a very long year away from fans due to the pandemic, the team will see 5,000 elated fans in the stands at Budweiser Events Center on October 22, 2021, for their home opener.

In a press release, Colorado Eagles president and alternate governor, Brian Petrovek stated:

...Welcoming in over 5,000 fans on opening night will be a celebration of reuniting our players, coaches and staff with best fans in the AHL.”

In the same release, Larimer County Public Health Director, Tom Gonzales stated:

Sports fans everywhere are looking forward to cheering on their teams, and COVID-19 vaccination is making it possible to fill the stands once again..

... It’s the best tool we have to prevent another surge in COVID-19 cases and getting vaccinated is another great way to show support for the players in the rink. I'm urging everyone who hasn't been vaccinated yet to make a plan to get their shots before the season opener.

The 2021-2022 season will be the 19th season as a team and the fourth season that the Colorado Eagles have been a member of the American Hockey League, and affiliated with the Colorado Avalanche.

The Avs recently called up four players from the Eagles:

  • MARTIN KAUT - FORWARD

  • MIIKA SOLOMAKI - FORWARD

  • KEATON MIDDLETON - DEFENSEMAN

  • ADAM WERNER - GOALTENDER

The Colorado Eagles will be announcing the full schedule and opponents later this summer. In the meantime, fans can guarantee themselves seats for the home-opener on October 22, by placing a deposit on season tickets at ColoradoEagles.com
