Garth Brooks is back in Colorado, and despite the fears he said he had about coming off his touring hiatus, he was welcomed with open arms in Denver.

Surrounded by lots of buzz about the start of his nine-show Denver tour stop, Brooks spent the morning prior to his first show on Wednesday, March 18 at Children's Hospital Colorado. While there he visited many of the patients and had a meet and greet with young fans, as well as adults associated with the hospital, at a "pep rally."

Afterward, the legendary country singer took time to hold a nearly 30-minute press conference in the hospital's Teen Zone, which he was helping to celebrate the grand opening of.

During his press conference Brooks talked about what it is like being back on tour, and how "you don't do a tour without Denver." Brooks also reminisced about past Colorado shows, and shared his thoughts about taking on a nine-show tour stop in Denver.
