Get Birth Control From King Soopers Without a Doctor Visit in Colorado
Kroger Health announced on Monday that pharmacists in Colorado will now allow women to get select contraceptives, hormonal birth control at King Soopers and City Market stores without a doctor visit.
There will still be a health screening before receiving medication, according to the news release.
Kroger Health's new policy, increases access to birth control while also making it less expensive.
This policy is in six other states as well. It is effective immediately, according to a news release.
Denver7 reports that, Women will be able to pick up birth control patches and self-administered hormonal contraceptive products directly from Kroger Health Clinics and from pharmacies at King Soopers and City Market, as well as Fred Meyers, QFC, Ralphs and Smith’s.
