When most of us were in high school we either waited in-between class or asked for a hall pass when we wanted to use the restroom.

It was an incredibly simple process. Sure, some students did not abide by school rules and did questionable things. For the most part, going to the bathroom as a student wasn't something my school was not concerned about.

A school in Northern Colorado is concerned about their students' safety in their bathrooms and it has sparked a fierce debate.

Students are not thrilled about Greeley West High School's new bathroom policy. School administrators are now having campus monitors sit outside of the bathrooms on campus to scan student ID cards and keep track of who is going to the bathroom and when they are going.

The school paper, West Word of Greeley, says that this policy was put into place due to vandalism and students vaping in the bathroom.
