A former Greeley contractor will spend 20 years in prison after he was convicted of scamming around $150,000 from local residents.

Jamie Bock was convicted of nine counts of "theft for scamming" which added up to a total of about $150,000. Authorities say between November 2014 and August 2017 he would collect down payments for work he promised to complete, then never show up to do the job.

When discussing Bock, Andrew Brown, Weld deputy district attorney said:

This defendant caused substantial financial hardship for innocent people and families across northern Colorado. We’re certain that this prison sentence the judge handed down will protect the community from further exploitation.
