The 4th of July parade at the Greeley Stampede is such a family tradition for Northern Colorado. Families line the streets cheering and bonding together seeing their community band together to entertain and celebrate. It is such an event that people come from all over the country for it. You will see motorcycles, livestock, trucks, tractors, clowns, marching bands and of course homemade floats from the local business. I think this is the jewel of the parade. I love when businesses use the parade as a way to bond the staff together all for promoting the business and their pride to be a part of NoCo.

I got to watch that take place this weekend in my driveway. My wife works at See Life Family Vision Source In Greeley and they were working on their float in our front yard this weekend. It was cool to see a whole staff of people working together, doing something none of them had done before, and creating a cool collection of eye candy for the parade. I watched them, cut, paint, create and debate and ultimately come up with a real cool scheme. I know this is the same that routine that scores of local businesses are going through right now in preparation for the big parade.

We are proud of where we live, the way we live and people who live here. We get to display that pride in grand parade style on the 4th. I hope you bring your blanket and the whole family out to take part in this wonderful tradition. My grandson Zander cannot wait for his first Stampede parade on Thursday. See you there. Look for the K99 float and dancing chubby guys.
