The Greeley Police Department is currently investigating a burglary/suspicious person incident that occurred inside a residence near 23rd Avenue and 8th Street in Greeley last week.

On Saturday, August 8, at approximately 5 a.m., officers received a call from a female victim, who stated that she had woken up to a male standing in her room. The male was reportedly startled when the female awoke and quickly exited the home. The victim believes he entered the residence through an unlocked door.

As the investigation into this situation continues, police are asking anyone with information or who saw something suspicious that morning to report it to Detective Nestor at 970-350-9692 or PST Cantin at 970-351-5438. In addition, police are reminding residents to lock their doors, close the garage, and always be aware of suspicious activity.
