Now that the weather has cooled down and the spooky season is upon us, it is the perfect time to put your guard up and get slightly freaked out at a local haunted house in Colorado.

We have compiled a list of haunted houses you can scream at the top of your lungs at in Northern Colorado and the Denver Metro Area:

Creepy Walk in the Woods - Loveland

Creepy Walk in the Woods is located at 1750 Savage Road. Open on Friday and Saturday nights from 7 pm to 11 pm. Ticket prices are $30 per person and not recommended for children under the age of 11.

Fritzler Scream Acres - La Salle

Scream Acres is located at 20861 County Road 33. Fritzler Scream Acres' site says you should cling tightly to your loved ones as there is an arsenal of twisted minds, committed actors, and macabre make-up artists are set on terrifying you all night long. Scream Acres is open Friday and Saturday starting when it gets dark to 10 pm. Wednesday, October 20, and Thursday, October 21 Scream Acres is open starting at dark to 9 pm. Ticket prices start at $27.95 when purchased online and go up to $52.95 when purchased at the gate. Fritzler Scream Acres is not recommended for small children.

Terror in the Corn - Erie

Terror in the Corn at Anderson Farms is located at 6728 County Raod 3 1/4. Terror in the Corn has been rated one of the best haunted attractions in the nation according to Terror in the Corn's website. Prices for Terror in the Corn start at $30 through $125. Open on Thursdays from 7 pm to 10 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 7 pm to 11 pm, and Sundays 7 pm to 10 pm through Halloween.

The Frightmare Compound - Westminster

The Frightmare Compound is located at 10798 Yukon Street in Westminster. The Frightmare Compound is open every night of the week through Halloween and has a special lights-out event on November 5 and 6. Ticket prices range from $29.99 up to $52.99 for the special event.

Haunted Field of Screams - Thornton

Haunted Field of Screams is located at 10451 McKay Road in Thornton. Haunted Field of Screams is open Friday through Sunday and will be open on Thursdays starting on October 21 through Halloween. Ticket Prices for Haunted Field of Screams start at $29.99 to $39.99.

13th Floor Haunted House - Denver

The 13th Floor is located at 3400 East 52nd Avenue in Denver and is one of the most popular in the state of Colorado. The 13th Floor Haunted House is open every night through Halloween, November 1, and the first two Friday and Saturday nights of November. Ticket prices start at $19.99 and go up to $52.99.

The World's Scariest Haunted House - Littleton

The World's Scariest Haunted House is located at 10500 West Bowles Avenue in Littleton. The World's Scariest Haunted House is open every night through Halloween except on Monday, October 18. Ticket prices to The World's Scariest Haunted House start at $20 up to $50.
