Hear Country Superstars Cover Merle Haggard’s ‘Fightin’ Side of Me’ [VIDEO]

There are many Merle Haggard songs that make my day when I hear them. A day with Merle is always a good day but certain songs really hit a vein with me and in 1970 on this day Merle was on top of the charts with one of those tunes.

48 Years ago today the number one song in the country was 'The Fightin' Side of Me' and that has always been one my personal favorites. Merle was the original angry American and this was his anthem. I found a few very cool cover versions to jam to as well. Enjoy!
