We all know that the weather changes quickly, but as of right now it looks like the end of the week is going to be very hot. By the time we hit Saturday and Sunday we are looking at high temperatures around 104 degrees. It's going to be very hot for us humans but we also need to think about our four-legged family members trying to deal with these temps.

As we have all heard from dogs being left in cars, it doesn't take long for a dog to overheat and be in serious danger because of the extreme temps. And each dog is going to be a little different.

I have one really fluffy black dog named Koda who doesn't stop running around and playing. He doesn't care about drinking water if someone is there throwing a ball for him, that's why it's our responsibility to look after our animals and make sure they stay safe.

But then I have another dog Gypsy who is a boxer mix who is much more of a lazy dog and will have no problem staying inside all day long and will go out of her way to avoid the hot temperatures outside.

But one thing is for sure, I need to keep an eye on both dogs over the next few weeks as we have warm temperatures. And make sure the surfaces that they are walking on don't make the pads on their paws too hot. I've seen dogs burn their paws on hot surfaces and it looks very painful.

Here are some other tips on how to help your dog beat the heat in these warm temps.
