For most of us, 167 N. College Ave. in Downtown Fort Collins has always been a divey music venue, whether that be Hodi's Half Note, or you date yourself back to the Starlight. But after Hodi's closed its door permanently during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was revealed that we'd all (unknowingly) seen our last show there, and the location would reopen as The Comedy Fort in 2021.

Now, the setup that hosted everyone from Social Distortion to Sum 41, Rise Against and The Veronicas is gone... or rather, it's been moved (no word on the state of the old green room).

The Comedy Fort's owners didn't toss the stage completely, but it's been rebuilt and relocated to the south wall of the building, in front of the brick, to make for a new comedy club-friendly stage.

No room for tears here, only laughs. The Comedy Fort aims to open next year, when we will definitely be in need of a lot of those.
