A trip to Lowe's last night proved to be a fruitful one with a purchase of a new ceiling fan!

I have been working on our guest room going on a month now. Only a few smaller things need to be done to complete the overhaul from the peach and orange colored room into a rustic cabin like retreat. The paint has been covered on the walls, a beetle kill blue pine accent wall has been put up and now a new brushed nickel fan has been added to the room!

As I left work for the day yesterday, I didn't really feel like heading straight home, so I ended up at the Lowe's off of Harmony to see what I can find. In search of a $2 light switch cover ended up in an hour long adventure through lighting, lumber and the garden departments. I was ready to leave when I saw the fan. It was perfect! 3 three blade fan with a brushed nickel finish, no light or fan chains and a fancy little remote to control everything! I scoped out the price and noticed it was on clearance from $149.99 to $111.75... Not too bad, but not really necessary at this point in time. I began to walk around the boxes of fans that were sitting on the floor and saw the green paper at the opposite side of the stack. What's that say??? "Take an additional 30% off the lowest price on clearance fans" so I pull out my phone, do the math because I suck at doing it in my head... $78.22! I can totally pull this off without my wife yelling at me for this price... So I bought it! I couldn't wait for daylight and decided as soon as I got home, I was going to install it.

In all, the project took me less than an hour to complete. The majority of the time was spent installing the fan blades to the fan! A quick and simple upgrade really changed the landscape of the room! I cannot wait to get this room finished and head off to the next house project!
