With another presidential election rapidly approaching, its time to look back at how Colorado has voted in the past.

Since being granted statehood in 1876, Colorado has cast votes in 36 total presidential elections — counting between three and nine points in the electoral college.

The Centennial State has voted for the 22 Republicans, 13 Democrats and one third-party populist. Colorado has voted for the winning president in 25 of the total 36 elections (69 percent).
