When travel halted during the COVID-19 pandemic, we all had to learn how to be tourists in our own state. Thankfully, when you're living in Colorado, this isn't too hard to do.
From Red Rocks Amphitheatre to The Stanley Hotel to tons of gorgeous national and state parks, Colorado has countless attractions for newcomers and natives alike to explore.
When I first moved to Colorado from North Dakota in 2008, my mom made sure we truly embodied the 'tourist' lifestyle. Every weekend, we were off to some iconic Centennial State landmark, whether it was Pikes Peak or Tiny Town. When I ventured up to Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University, I made sure that I was a frequent visitor of Rocky Mountain National Park and Horsetooth Reservoir.
Still, even though I've been in Colorado for 13 years now, there are so many places I haven't visited. Whether you're in the high country, Southern Colorado, the Colorado Eastern Plains, or right here in Northern Colorado, our state never has a shortage of amazing things to see.
To help us test if we are "real" Coloradans, I've compiled a list of some of the Centennial State's most renowned attractions (I couldn't name them all...our state has too many awesome ones). I've only been to 15 of them, so I have to ask: how many have you been to?
