BE ADVISED:  The interchange at Hwy 392 {The Windsor Exit} and I-25 will CLOSE for 8 days starting tonight {11/14} at 8pm however the frontage roads will remain open.

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation the interchange will re-open at 8pm on November 22nd.

CDOT Project Engineer Gray Currier said:

During the eight-day closure, we will reconstruct a portion of state highway 392 as well as the I-25 ramps and realign traffic onto the newly completed northern portion of the bridge.  The full closure of state highway 392 is necessary to allow crews to safely rebuild the roadway and ramps to match up with their new alignment.

Detours are in place and will be as follows:

  • Colorado Highway 392 on the east side of I-25: Drivers will be detoured east to Larimer County Road 5 where they will travel north to Harmony Road or south to Crossroads Boulevard.
  • Colorado 392 on the west side of I-25: Drivers will be detoured either west to Timberline Road (Larimer County Road 11) where they will travel north to Harmony Road or south on the Southwest Frontage Road to Crossroads Boulevard.
  • Northbound I-25: Drivers on northbound I-25 needing access to Colorado 392 will exit at Crossroads Boulevard and follow the detour signs north to Colorado 392. If drivers miss the Crossroads Boulevard exit, they can take the Harmony Road exit and follow the detour signs south to Colorado 392.
  • Southbound I-25: Drivers on southbound I-25 needing access to Colorado 392 will exit at Harmony Road and follow the detour signs south to Colorado 392.  If drivers miss the Harmony Road exit, they can take the Crossroads Boulevard exit and follow the detour signs north to Colorado 392.

This project is just short of $18 million project and will completely replace the entire bridge. Tje finished project will sport a wider 4-lane bridge and also left-turn lanes in each direction. A bike lane and a 6 1/2 foot pedestrian lane will also be on each side.

Frontage roads and ramps will be realigned on the west side to accommodate more traffic and there will also be a big new carpool lot on the SW Corner big enough to hold 90 vehicles.
