Onto bigger and better.

Harbinger Coffee, a staple for coffee lovers in the Northern Colorado community is officially closing shop at its first brick-and-mortar location in Fort Collins.

According to reports via the Coloradoan, the popular shop that's been serving up some of the finest coffee from all around the world right here in FoCo has plans to leave its first brick-and-mortar location, which is located at 505 S. Mason St., to open a new shop in a much more desirable location in Old Town Fort Collins.

"We're just really excited to be a little closer to downtown and we really look forward to be about to continue our business," Harbinger Coffee founder, Jonathan Jarrow told the Coloradoan. "We're thrilled to have the community support we've had over the last decade."

According to Jarrow, the primary goal was to find a new spot for the coffee shop with more parking options and an increase in foot traffic.

Harbinger Coffee's new FoCo location will soon be at 236 S. College Ave., which is right by the corner of College Ave. and Olive St.; you might recognize the building as the former home of a cell phone repair shop.

Harbinger Coffee is more than your typical coffee shop (no shade towards Starbucks or Dunkin') - in business for nearly a decade, Harbinger Coffee first opened in the Choice City back in 2012 as a little kiosk in Old Town and has only grown in size and popularity since.

Three years later - in 2015 - Jonathan Jarrow opened Harbinger Coffee's first brick-and-mortar location in the first-floor retail space of an apartment complex on S. Mason St.

Nearly three more years later, Harbinger Coffee successfully opened its second location in the Harmony Commons Shopping Center, right near the corner of Harmony Road and Lady Moon Drive in Fort Collins.

According to Jarrow, Harbinger Coffee is set to open in its new College Avenue spot in March 2022, while the Mason Street location will be closing no later than March 31, 2022.
