JBS has recently come under scrutiny over its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. On Tuesday, a Greeley man who worked at the beef processing plant succumbed to the virus.

Many Northern Coloradans have been talking about the conditions at JBS and it's handling of COVID-19. Recently, the Weld County Department of Public called the plant a 'significant hot spot' for the virus.

Denver 7 reports that a worker at JBS passed away on Tuesday due to the virus.

According to Denver 7, 78-year-old Saul Sanchez had worked at JBS for thirty years and loved his job and his coworkers. As someone who's also worked at the same place for many years, I can relate to Saul's sentiment about his job.

The union that Saul belonged to will be investigating his death, as they had already been trying to get information from the plant about its failure to protect Saul and the other workers there from contracting COVID-19.
