When I'm going out on the town for the night, I'm looking for two things: a place where I can dance to some country music and get cheap drinks.

Recently I discovered a place that's all that and more.

Starlite Station at 1742 Greeley Mall in Greeley opened late last year out of the old Cactus Canyon that sat vacant for about two years — the only thing remaining from Cactus Canyon are the four cacti that border the dance floor.

That dance floor is one of the largest in all of Northern Colorado. It's definitely more spacious than other Northern Colorado dance floors I boot, scooted and boogied on. There's free line dance lessons every Wednesday for Ladies Night.

Also on those Wednesday Ladies Nights, women get in and drink for FREE. That's the perfect price for me! Plus there are four bars, so you can get a drink without having to wait in line like other places on busy nights.

Other specials like $1 Patron shots on Tuesdays, $1 Jack & Coke drinks on Thursday's and $10 all-you-can-drink passes on Fridays help quench my thirst and give me more courage to return to the dance floor — all while doing limited damage to my bank account.

While I'm no longer eligible, college students can also get in with a free cover charge if they show their ID on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Check out Starlite Station if you like dancing and free drinks — you just might find me on the dance floor.
