As of Monday morning (Dec. 28), Larimer County's two-week COVID-19 positivity rating stood at 6.3%, according to the latest data from the Larimer County Department of Health & Environment.

The positivity rating is the lowest it's been since October when it hit 5.1%, before it rose due to a wave of cases in the fall. Before October, two-week positivity stood under 5% from late April, hitting a low of 1.1% on June 15.

The county's overall prevalence rate is also on the decline, hitting 407 cases per 100,000 residents on Sunday (Dec. 27).

Although Larimer County's overall prevalence and percent positivity rates are declining, December remains the deadliest month in the pandemic in the county, as 45 residents died from COVID-19.

Larimer County recorded more than double the COVID-19 deaths in December than it did in November, which is the second deadliest month of the pandemic.

The county has reported 14,312 COVID-19 cases and 126 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

As of Monday (Dec. 28), Larimer County's overall risk remains high.
