The Larimer County Sheriff's Office is seeking information regarding the identity of a suspect wanted for assaulting a woman earlier this week.

Between noon and 12:30 p.m. on Monday (June 21), a woman was reportedly backing her white dually pickup truck out of the Bellvue Post Office, located at 5301 Rist Canyon Road, when she accidentally almost hit a bicyclist.

According to LCSO, a second bicyclist then started screaming at the woman through her open window, and proceeded to punch the left side of her head. The woman left the scene in her truck and called police to report the assault.

The suspect was described as a white man in his late 40s to 50s, thin build, and was wearing a red shirt and a white bicycle helmet at the time of the incident.

If you have any information regarding the assault, please call Deputy Nathan Rankin at 970-498-5552.
