Leave Tim Tebow Alone Already!

He is used to taking heat, he is used to hearing he is no good, and I am sure he expected to hear even more criticism when he went to a huge market like New York, but to get it from his own teammates is ridiculous! A day after some of Tim Tebow's Jet's teammates called him "terrible", I am here to remind them of the golden rule... If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all (especially if it's about your teammate).

A report in Wednesday's New York Daily News sampled more than a dozen Jets players and members of the organization on Tebow's readiness as a starting quarterback and the feedback was not very positive. "He's terrible," a defensive starter told the paper.

The Jets head coach ripped the team at their Wednesday practice, telling his players what happened was "cowardly". He also rushed to Tebow's defense, listing his attributes to the entire team. At one point during the meeting, Ryan asked for the player who called Tebow "terrible" in the article to identify himself. No one responded.

Cowardly is putting it lightly. What is all this Tebow bashing teaching our youth? If Tim Tebow is so bad, why does he keep getting chances in the biggest football league in the world? Why does Tim Tebow make millions of dollars if he is no good? All these questions pop into my mind when someone bashes Tebow. As happy as I am to have Peyton Manning as a Denver Bronco, I sure wish that Mr. Tebow could have sat on our bench, learned from the best, and then showed everyone what he is made of a few years down the road.

But, Timmy doesn't need me or his coach to defend him, he will raise above and be the better person in the situation as he always seems to do. He said "I think there was some frustration and some sadness. It's never fun to hear criticism. At the same time, it's something I've always used as motivation. You try to get stronger from it."
