I cannot wait until Sunday. I love Easter for so many reasons. I happen to be a believer so Sunday is quite spiritual to me and will be very soul filling. I have much to be grateful for and will feel the blessing of my life big time on Sunday. I am also a big fan of food and the Easter Sunday meal of ham and taters will be a treat for my tummy, not to mention all the chocolate eggs and bunnies that will find their final resting place in my belly. The thing I am most looking forward to though is the faces of the grandchildren. This is my granddaughter Kirzi’s second Easter and I cannot wait to see her with her filled Easter basket. This year my grandson Zayden will get to help his big brother Zander plant the candy garden for the first time too.

A few years ago we started a new tradition at our house. The night before Easter the kids go out in the yard and plant jelly beans in the dirt with hopes of it growing into real candy by morning. Each year Zander is blown away to wake up and look outside and see that the beans he had planted “bloomed” into suckers and chocolate eggs and all sorts of delicious candy. He grabs his basket and goes out to collect the harvest. Getting to see the look of joy on his face while he fills his basket is so priceless. I can’t wait to see both little guys farm the candy this year. If you are looking for a new fun thing to do this Easter, try the candy garden, it is always a big hit at our house.
