The United Way of Weld County is collecting supplies for COVID-19.

Supplies will be used at the UWWC Housing Navigation Center's cold weather shelter, given to health care workers, and donated to programs working with vulnerable populations and family support through UWWC's Promise for Children.

Their top priorities include meals, snacks and homemade masks (mask pattern here).

Items needed include:

Cold Weather Shelter 

  • Meals
  • Healthy snacks
  • Men and women's underwear (primarily sizes small, medium, large)
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Sanitizing wipes
  • Cleaning and sanitizing supplies
  • Toilet paper
  • Paper towels

Health Care Workers/Those Working with Vulnerable Populations

Families Through UWWC Promises for Children

  • Diapers (larger sizes 4, 5, 6)
  • Baby formula
  • Baby wipes

Volunteers are also needed; if you're interested in helping out, contact Nicole Quin at nicole@united-weld.org or go to the United Way website.

You can drop off your donations at the UWWC offices located at 814 9th St., Downtown Greeley, Monday - Friday between 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Please call the UWWC front office staff ahead of time at (970) 353-4300 before you drop off items.

  • Healthy volunteers and volunteers with food service experience
  • Those who love to cook or whom have worked in some form of food service; those who could prepare, if needed, 80 sack dinners/sandwiches for guests at the cold weather shelter
  • Surgical masks
  • Hand sanitizer

Monetary donations can be made electronically at ccdenver.org (indicate Weld County if desired) or by mailing a check to the Guadalupe Community Center at 1442 North 11th, Greeley, CO 80631.
