In a period of 5 days, Longmont police officers saved 3 lives using the opiate-reversal drug Narcan.

As the opiate problem continues to ravage the country, Longmont police are ready to save lives at a moment's notice. Last week, police saved the life of a 34-year-old woman when she was suffering a drug overdose. The woman was found barley breathing, hunched over in a hallway. Officers administered the drug and she sprung back to life.

Fox 31 is reporting that the Longmont Police Department has saved 89 lives using the "incredible" drug Narcan over the past 3 years.
