Private schools from Loveland and Greeley have a chance to earn a spot in the state football title games.

Resurrection Christian of Loveland and Dayspring Christian Academy of Greeley are playing in state semifinals games in their respective classes on Saturday. A win puts them in the Nov. 30 title game held at CSU-Pueblo.

No. 3-seeded Resurrection Christian faces No. 2 seeded Sterling at 1 p.m. in the Class 2A playoffs. The winner faces the victor of Delta vs. Basalt in the state title game.

The Cougars have beaten Platte Valley 20-12 and La Junta 46-14 at state to advance to the semifinals round.

No. 5-seeded Day Spring Christian Academy faces top-seeded Sedgwick County at 1 p.m. Saturday in the 8-man playoffs. The winner faces the victor of Fowler vs. Pikes Peak Christian in the state title game.

The Eagles have beaten Rangely 52-0 and Vail Christian 38-28 to advance to the semifinals round.
