Meet Bertie, the World’s Fastest Tortoise [VIDEO]

There are some amazing animals out there. We even have record setting animals. I have seen dog races and horse races but how about tortoise races? I can only imagine the excitement of watching the dust fly as these athletes run their shells off.

If you were to race tortoises, Bertie would win the race. Bertie is considered the American Pharaoh of turtle racing. Bertie can run at .28 meters per second which is just a step ahead of me. You can imagine Bertie feeling the wind blow through her shell as she runs. Check out her breathless pace in this video.
