In honor of Veterans Day and veterans remembrance, the Johnstown Scheels is doing something truly extraordinary, and it originated from one of their own employees.

David Brown, a USMC Veteran and the Reloading Manager at Scheels, started designing what would become the Wall of Remembrance over ten years ago as a way to chase a dream and passion of his and his wife Jenn's.

The Wall of Remembrance was created as a way to honor and remember the losses suffered as a nation. The wall itself is a traveling memorial, recognizing and educating people on America's losses dating back to the bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut in 1983.

Brown and Scheels together have invited Gold Star Families, those who have lost loved ones in the military, to be a part of the process of setting up particular panels of the wall.

On Friday, Nov. 5, the wall will be escorted from the Wyoming State Line to Scheels. Brown and Scheels have encouraged those who are interested to post up at the overpasses along the route for the escort. The wall is expected to be set up by 9:30 a.m. that Friday.

The wall will be at the Scheels in Johnstown from Nov. 5 to Nov. 9 before it moves up to Wellington.

We had the chance to talk to Brown to learn more about the wall, the event, and how you can honor those we've lost.
