More than 10,000 of you voted and chose the finalists for NoCo's Best Restaurants, from BBQ to pizza to breakfast and more. Our judges did some eating, and debating, and chose the winners at Townsquare Media's Taste of Fort Collins.

Here were the finalists for NoCo's Best Breakfast:

Finalist: Silver Grill in Fort Collins

Jordan, Brandon, Madi Best Breakfast Silver Grill

Silver Grill's take on the hollandaise sauce was impeccable. When you add in the homemade buttered and grilled cinnamon roll with homemade cream cheese, freshly-squeezed orange juice and delicious veggie eggs benedict it becomes very obvious why Silver Grill was a top contender in this category. It's also the oldest restaurant in Northern Colorado, and has served breakfast and lunch since 1933 with roots back to 1912. The restaurant just made renovations making the inside eating area larger while keeping the Old Town Fort Collins feel, along with a new display case for those delicious cinnamon rolls.

Finalist: Doug's Diner

Jordan, Madi Best Breakfast Doug's Day Diner

Doug's Diner had a comfy feeling, the diner couldn't be described better than this: "It’s not home, it’s not work; it’s your ‘third place,’ where you’re taken care of." When you walk in the restaurant there's an open eating area with a friendly staff. The judge's experienced the diner's best with Doug’s Breaded Steak, Browns, Country Gravy, Three Eggs and a Griddle Biscuit. This locally owned restaurant definitely earned a top spot as a finalist for the best breakfast.

Finalist: Lucile's Creole Cafe

The last tasting stop the judges made was at Lucile's. The Cerole, Louisiana traditions of this restaurant brought Lucile's to the finalist position. From the roots of chicory plants ground and mixed with coffee to the huge beignets to the homemade buttermilk biscuit topped with 4 choices of homemade jam, the judges tasting was a bang of flavors.

Lucile's "Cajun Breakfast": Red beans with pork shank, poached eggs with hollandaise drizzled on top with grits on the side.

And the winner of NoCo's Best Breakfast is... Lucile's Creole Cafe.

The Cerole, Louisiana traditions of this restaurant brought Lucile's to the finalist tradition. From the roots of chicory plants ground and mixed with coffee to the huge beignets to the homemade buttermilk biscuit topped with 4 choices of homemade jam, the judges started the tasting with a bang of flavors. Then the main breakfast dish came the with the "Cajun Breakfast": Red beans with pork shank, poached eggs with hollandaise drizzled on top with grits on the side. The most interesting thing was after the dish was eaten the coffee felt fuller and richer. The flavors were strong and distinct with each food, as well as the coffee. The restaurant had an authentic Louisiana feel, and it was very clear the this restaurant deserved to be the winner for the breakfast category.
