Fire, food, and fortunes, oh my! The Lyric is gearing up for its biggest event of the year — an entertainment-filled pig roast that is the ultimate ode to the spooky season.

The Fort Collins staple is hosting the Annual Pig Roast on Saturday, October 23. While the event may seem self-explanatory, there is a lot more to it than just, well, pig roasting.

According to the cinema, this year's shindig will feature interactive art installations, a circus with aerial dance performances, mimes, clowns, fire jugglers, palm reading, fortune-telling, the mystical fiction of immersive theater, and live musical performances from the Mile High Brass Band and Lucid Blues.

Can't quite wrap your head around it? Here's what Natalie Scarlett, the event's director, says to expect:

There's a strange narrative arc and moments of bombastic spectacle and tiny intimate spine-chilling scenes. The agony and the ecstasy. The pig and the man. The sacred and the profane. The delicious and the macabre.

It definitely sounds spooky. Of course, there will be food, too — it's a pig roast for a reason. Serviceberry Catering will be on-site with a three-course, pig-themed, field-to-table meal.

The "feast for the senses" kicks off at 3 p.m. Tickets are available online here. Along with the pig roast, The Lyric is also hosting a Halloween event for children, Spooky Cool Kids Club, on October 30.
