Starting Tuesday, February 11, eastbound Mountain Ave. in Old Town will be affected by a construction project on the corner of Mathews St. (weather permitting).

The City of Fort Collins says that both eastbound lanes downtown between Remington St. and Mathews St. will be closed on February 11 so that a crane can be set up, however traffic will still be able to detour around the crane in the left turn lane.

After the crane is set up (predicted to take one day), only one lane of eastbound Mountain will be closed, but will remain closed until the project is scheduled to be completed on April 30.

While traffic on Mountain Ave. will be impacted, the city says the parking garage will still be in use and accessible. Westbound Mountain Ave. will not be closed.

According to the Coloradoan, construction is underway on Mountain Ave. and Mathews St. for a new multi-use development called 'The Front Row on Mountain Avenue.'
