Fort Collins Police are seeking any information having to do with a shooting that occurred at an apartment complex on Monday night, in which one person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to a press release sent out by FCPS today, dispatch received a report of a shooting at 9:47 p.m on January 29. The victim, a 23-year-old male, was inside his apartment, located near West Plum Street and South Taft Hill Road, when he heard a knock at his door. As he answered, three unknown males attempted to force their way into the residence, and while the victim tried to secured the door, the suspects managed to kick it in, causing significant damage. During this time, the suspect(s) fired a gun, striking the victim. The 23-year-old was taken to the hospital, and the suspects fled the area — no one else in or around the complex was injured during the exchange, and the suspects did not take anything from the residence.

Police are now looking for help in identifying the suspects involved in this incident, and say that a white vehicle, possibly a Nissan or Kia, with plastic silver/chrome-style rims may have been associated with them. The suspects were described as approximately 5’10 tall. One was described as chubbier in build, wore a white shirt and had a fade haircut. The second was wearing dark clothing and a gray cap. The third was wearing dark clothing and either a black hoodie or Nike cap with a red swoosh. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Jason Shutters at 970-416-2177 or Larimer County Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868. People can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
