Celebrate Potato Day on Saturday, Sept. 13, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Centennial Village Museum at 1475 A St. It includes: A baked potato with a choice of toppings! Food from local vendors will also be available for separate purchase.

Enjoy living history activities including blacksmithing, printing, tortilla making, adobe brick making, cattle branding and hatchet throwing. In addition, the event features entertainment by the Rodarte dancers, swing dancers and music under the gazebo. Kids can participate in historical games and activities at the Kids’ Korner Potato Patch and visit the museum’s resident snake collection at Rattlesnake Kate’s House. For the military history buff, mingle with buffalo soldiers and catch their show or visit the WWII encampment vehicles and re-enactors.

ADMISSION

Admission to Potato Day is $6, $4 for children 3 to 11, and children under 2 are free. Proceeds from Potato Day are used by the Greeley Museums Heritage Foundation in support of the City of Greeley History Museums.
