President Obama Visits Denver For Gun Control Rally – Local Sheriffs Stage Counter-Protest [Video]

President Obama was in Denver yesterday to show his support for the gun control measures recently passed in Colorado.  Meanwhile, 16 county sheriffs, including Larimer County’s Justin Smith and John Cooke of Weld County have vowed not to enforce the new gun restrictions.  They gathered about a mile from the Obama appearance yesterday to say the new regulations passed in Colorado are ineffective and unconstitutional.

Our own Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith spoke at the rally at Fred N. Thomas Memorial Park about a mile from the Denver Police Academy campus where the president was speaking to give the other point of view. Thanks to the Associated Press and YouTube for the video.
