Some more construction coming your way! And just in time for the weekend.

The City of Fort Collins will be closing Trilby Road for repairs at the BNSF Railroad crossing between College Ave. and Shields.

From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17., traffic will be rerouted around the closure. Excluding the College to Shields stretch of Trilby, the rest of Trilby Road will still be open and available for local traffic.

This is not the first or only improvement the City has made to a BNSF intersection. The City started the process of building a bridge at the Vine and Lemay intersection of the railway crossing in January. Construction for that project began in April/May.

The project is planned to be completed by the end of 2021. Currently, there are several closures because of the project.

These include Buckingham Street on the Lemay Avenue side, Duff Drive from 10th Street, and shoulder closures along Lemay and Vine.
