Before the pandemic halted the Colorado State University Rams softball season in 2020, pitcher Jessica Jarecki was finding a groove in the circle.

The Littleton native struck out 10 in the season opener, threw a complete-game shutout against Canisius and logged 64 innings with a 2.41 ERA.

The grad student is back in 2021 with more eligibility because of the pandemic and has opened the season with a 4-5 record.

Jarecki had transferred to CSU as a junior after playing her first two college seasons at Division II Chadron State in Nebraska. Her brother Matthew was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 2018 MLB draft.

Jarecki sat down for the latest Ram Jam interview about her career and the current season/
