Randy Travis Hit Number One with One of Country’s Biggest Hits in 1987 [VIDEO]

This year at weddings you will hear a lot of Thomas Rhett's "Die a Happy Man" and Dan+Shay's current smash "From the Ground Up". A few years ago John Michael Montgomery's "I Swear" and Lonestar's "Amazed" were the must use wedding songs but before that Randy Travis was the voice you heard at country weddings.

It was on this date back in 1987 that Randy started a three week stay on top of the charts with "Forever and Ever Amen" which thousands of couples have exchanged rings and danced their first official husband and wife dance to.
