Many of us have had Randy Travis in our prayers the last few years. He has battled personal and health issues and we hope for the best for Randy. He has done so much for country music through the years. He was the first artist who was selling millions of copies of traditional country music. He made country cool in the 80's without compromising the sound at all.

Randy had a stroke in 2013 and has not been seen much since aside from a surprise appearance at the ACM awards last year. Reports are that Randy hit the stage for the first time since his stroke on February 3rd at a funeral for East Texas winery founder Pierre de Wet. He appeared on stage behind a microphone and was part of a singing of 'Amazing Grace'. There is no video of the performance but it warms my heart to hear he was on the stage once again. Here is to continued healing and hope that one day we will get to hear him perform again. Stay strong Randy. This is not from the funeral but here is clip of Randy singing the gospel classic.
