Yesterday was finally the day! On Sunday Funday we decided to to head into Fort Collins and have a few barrel aged brews from The Jessup Farm Barrel House.

After circling the parking lot a couple of times, we finally were able to score a spot. As you walk into the barrel house, the first thing you will see immediately walking in the door when you look to the left are numerous oak barrels stacked up along the walls.

To the right is where Jessup Farm Barrel House brews their beer.

But... Where do we get a drink?

Up the stairs we go! When we arrived at the taproom, it was packed with people and a few dogs. An older Golden Retriever was anxiously awaiting each thirsty patron as they entered the taproom.

The unfinished vaulted ceiling and the decor gave the place a very rustic, at home type of feel.

As you can see from the menu, plenty of choices! Check out the gallery of what I got in the barrel aged flight:

Oddly enough, the coasters sitting at the bar had "What Does the Fox Say" stuck in my head for about an hour after leaving the taproom.

Plenty more barrels are nestled around the taproom upstairs. From wine to whiskey, the brews are aging in their little oak cribs patiently waiting to be consumed.

I cannot wait to go back and get another whiskey barrel aged black ale! If barrel aged beers are not your thing, good news, they have plenty of brews that have not been placed in barrels, ready for you to enjoy.
