It sounds down right silly for me to make a post about pasta, but when you think about it, pasta can be dull. I watch food shows all the time and they repetitively say that you better put salt in the water as this is the only chance you get to season your pasta. I say, hogwash! Sure I put a bit of salt in my water, but the real key comes after the strainer, before your past hits the table. Let's hit the kitchen and discover simple together.

What You'll Need:

1 lb favorite pasta
1 Tbsp butter, unsalted
1 Tbsp plush a dash of
olive oil
1 Tbsp dried or fresh parsley
2 garlic cloves grated or
1 Tbsp garlic powder
a dash of coarse sea salt

Putting It All Together:

cook the pasta according to
the directions, add salt to water
if desired, just a pinch
drain
while the pasta is still in the strainer
add butter and oil to the pasta pot
combine well and then add parsley, garlic
and salt, mix well and add pasta back into
pot half at a time, mix with tongs gently
adding more pasta until all has been
incorporated with the butter, oil and seasonings
at this time serve the noodles as is, add to
your favorite pasta sauce or the sauce you
have made-or hey, squeeze on the juice of
a lemon, a handful of capers and artichoke hearts
(not marinated) and a couple sauteed chicken
breasts, sliced and you have a fabulous dish!

The moral of the story is, I do this to all my pasta, no matter what I do with it afterward. And sometimes I merely sit down with a bowl and a fork and dive in. Enjoy!
