Recipe Rescue: Hot Barbecued Legs!
Today we're heating up the patio with a spicy favorite of mine. A little thought or planning works best with this recipe as you will doubly enjoy it if you let it marinate overnight. If you don't have time or forget, you can still enjoy this recipe. You'll need a few hours to get the best of the best of the limited time, so, let's get going.
What You'll Need:
1 Family pack of chicken legs
1 quart of buttermilk
2 Tbsp Franks Red Hot Sauce
2 tsp cayenne pepper
s/p to taste
Putting It All Together:
Combine buttermilk,
hot sauce, cayenne pepper
and s/p.
rinse chicken and and place
into 9 x 13 casserole dish
pour buttermilk mixture over
chicken, cover with plastic wrap
or foil and refrigerate for at
least three hours, best if you
can do this overnight.
Preheat grill
oil grill surface with an
oiled paper towel or clean
garage rag.
cook chicken on all sides till
the internal temperature reaches
165 degrees
for extra heat mix Franks Red
Hot with unsalted butter 3 to 1
and use as dipping sauce or pour
over chicken immediately after
you remove chicken from grill
Pull it all together with some
grilled corn on the cob and tater
tots!
