WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO MAKE BACON RANCH MAC AND CHEESE

  • 1 lb macaroni
  • 4 oz Gruyere cheese
  • 4 oz  extra sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 2-3 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 Tbs ranch powder
  • 5 strips of bacon
  • 1 Tbs of oil for sauteing chicken
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 2 Tbs flour/2 Tbs butter

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER: BACON RANCH MAC AND CHEESE

Melt the butter on medium low in a medium sauce pan, add the flour and cook till it is a light brown, about two minutes while stirring constantly. Heat cream in microwave, if from fridge about a minute, if room temp (preferred) heat for 20-30 seconds on high and add to flour mixture, stir for a few minutes then add most of the cheese (leave a handful of the two combined to top the casserole dish before putting it in the oven) turn heat to low

Cook chicken with a little oil after you have coated it with the ranch powder, remove from skillet and let rest before dicing. Cook bacon in the same pan til it is crispy and drain on paper towels before chopping.

Add the sauce to the cooked macaroni, stir well then add the diced chicken and chopped bacon. Pour into a greased casserole dish and top with extra cheese, if you have any extra bacon, crumble on top.

Bake at 350 Degrees for 20-30 minutes
