Retail Marijuana Shop to Open in Fort Collins Early 2014

"Green Wednesday" came and went and retail shops in Denver have been busy, but what about Fort Collins and Northern Colorado? Where will the shops be and when are they opening?

Fort Collins doesn't have any yet, but come early 2014, one retail marijuana store will open. Choice Organics hopes to be open by end of January, but more than likely it will be pushed back to to March.

As of right now there are only a handful of retail shops set to open in Northern Colorado. (Cloud 9 Organics in Garden City opened their recreational doors on January 20th, 2014.) There are plenty of dispensaries, but they require a medical card to get marijuana. Loveland, Windsor, Estes Park, Timnath and Wellington all voted to ban retail marijuana shops.

Until Choice Organics opens in Fort Collins, people will need to make the trek out of town.
