Rockies Blast Their Way Into Western Division Lead

It was another great night for our Colorado Rockies as they laid a butt whooping on the Phillies. The Rockies bats have been lethal lately and continued the onslaught last night when they put up 14 runs on Philadelphia.

The Rockies were helped by the Diamondbacks and the Brewers last night. The Brewers clinched a playoff berth by beating the Cardinals which gives the Rocks a game and a half lead over St. Louis in the wild card race. The D-Backs helped us big time by besting LA for the second night in a row. That Dodger loss gives the Rockies a half game lead in the division.

The Cardinals are off today before finishing the season with a 3 game series against the Cubs. The Dodgers will rest today then finish with a 3 game set with divisional rival San Francisco. The Rockies play the Phillies one more time this afternoon, which I will be going down to watch, and then finish at home with a 3 game series against the Nationals. This is fun stuff.
