These days it seems more and more unusual for people to stay at one job for a long time. You used to find a job and then work your way up in the company and then retire. These days people seem to be much more expendable and much less content to sit in one place, as well.

I have had the good fortune of finding what I love to do and being smart enough to know it. I could have kept moving from market to market to try to make the "big city" but I think happiness is the ultimate goal, not wealth. I have now been here 30 years. That is a long time in any career but really rare in this business. What is the longest you  have held a job? I know the shortest time I was employed was four hours. That was a rough morning. I am glad I left that one though because walking out of some doors is what led me here. What is your longest employment tenure?
