Six Companies Plan to Lay Off Employees in Colorado

It's not always a bad thing to have a resume brushed up and ready to go. You may never know when you need it for a jump in your career whether it is your choice or your current employer's. Some people may be looking for a change in their career for the new year and some companies may be deciding to scale back operations. Either way, it is always a wise choice to keep on top of your resume. You never know when it can come in handy.

According to 9 News, numerous Colorado companies are planning mass layoffs in the coming months. These companies have given notice to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment by the of the Worker Adjustment and Retaining Notification Act.

The Worker Adjustment and Retaining Notification Act, also known as WARN, requires employers to provide employees with a notice of 60 days before mass layoffs occur. These notices that are made publicly available show that a little under 500 employees from six companies in the state of Colorado will be impacted in the coming months.

These six companies will be laying off employees in Colorado:

• Dish Network, LLC plans to lay off 157 employees starting March 8, 2024, and nine additional employees on March 19, 2024.
• Lost Boys Interactive plans to lay off four employees in Colorado and 125 total employees starting March 15, 2023.
• ABM Industry Group plans to lay off 94 employees starting March 18, 2024.
• Flatirons Health and Rehab will lay off 124 employees on March 4, 2024.
• Amentum will lay off 45 employees in March 2024.
• IMI Norgen, LLC will lay off 60 employees starting April 1, 2024.
