Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run

So, this Sunday is the biggest day of the year for me...Yes, it's the 5th Annual Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run in Greeley.  The motorcycle toy run raises toys for the Santa Cops of Weld County program and this year they have 3000 kids on their list.

Staging for the toy run starts at Centennial Park in Greeley off 23rd Ave at 11am and the police escort parade ride starts at 12:30 this year.  There will be about 17 GPOA squad cars that will block every intersection on this year's 10 mile route to the Cactus Canyon for one continuous ride; one of the best rides of the year for sure.

Entry fee is at least one brand new unwrapped to for the Santa Cops program strapped to your bike. For each new toy you donate you will get a raffle ticket to win a nice prize at the after-party.  The first 200 bikes that roll in will get a limited edition Sleigh Riders shirt and the first 600 BODIES to show up will receive a 2010 Sleigh Riders patch and there will be 60 patches up for grabs for every year dating back to 2006 for those who have done the ride every year.

The party this year will be at the Cactus Canyon {Santa Cops will collect toys there...not at the staging area} with live music from one of, if not the best rock band in the state:  Psycho X from Denver.  Great drink specials from the Cactus Canyon and a catered lunch from Alberto's for $5.

This year the Sleigh Riders are also offering lots of SR gear to wear and show your support.  100% of the proceeds go directly back into the next years event.
